RBS is governed by the Governing body Rajagiri College of Social sciences (Society) which has been running education institutions since 1955. This society belongs to the CMI Sacred Heart Province, Kochi which is one among the thirteen provinces in India managed by the CMIs and has a number of institutions to its credit
Helm of Affairs
He was Professor of Sociology at Sacred Heart College, Thevara, from 1980 to 2000, and retired as the Principal of the college. He has a doctoral degree in Sociology, and did post-doctoral research in Sociology at Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, from 1990 to 1992. He was a visiting fellow at Fordham University, New York, in 1992. After retirement, he served as the Pastor of Holy Cross Parish, Toronto, for more than seven years. From 2008 to 2014 he was the General Councillor for Education and Communication Media in the CMI Congregation.
From 2014, he served as the Prior of S. H. Monastery and the Manager of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) and other educational institutions of the congregation in Thevara, Kochi. He has presented papers at several national and international conferences and has published seven books and many scientific articles on Sociology of Religion.
He served as the Director of AMLED SChool, Dubai, an undertaking of the Sacred Heart CMI province Rajagiri, Kochi in collaboration with AMLED Facilities Management LLC Dubai, UAE. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Louvain, Belgium. He served as the Provincial of Sacred Heart Province, Kochi and as Director of Rajagiri Institutions from 2002-2005. He also served as the Principal of Rajagiri School, Kochi for six years.
A post graduate in Social Work (specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work) from Loyola College (Autonomous) Chennai and M. Phil in Social Work from University of Madras, his PhD is in the area of Child Development and is currently pursuing his post-doctoral program in York University, UK. He is a partner in International Centre for Mental Health Social Research (ICMHSR), York University, UK and was a visiting International Scholar to Western Washington, Columbus University, Western Michigan University, Nazareth University and University of Maryland, USA. He is an international faculty in the University of Applied Sciences, Western Switzerland and Vives University, Belgium and received the UK India Education and Research Initiative award (UKIERI) from British Council, UK, for a period of three years (2017 – 2020).
Dr. Joseph I. Injodey is a Post Graduate (Loyola College, Chennai) and Ph.D (M.G University, Kottayam). With 25 years of teaching experience at Post Graduate level in Rajagiri College of Social Sciences and Loyola College, Chennai, he is widely travelled and has been a visiting international scholar at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan State, USA. An accomplished trainer, he has offered various training programmes both in India and abroad, including "Skills for Counseling for Managers", for the Senior Managers, Bank Muscat, Oman. His areas of interest are mentoring, employee resourcing and counseling. He is counselor and part of the expert panel for employee selection in many companies and educational institutions. With his wide experience in teaching and administration, he sets very high standards for the Centre and supports the progress of faculty and students through regular training programs and academic inputs.
